Departing from your hotel in modern and comfortable buses via the Coral Highway, we pass through Miches and Sabana de la Mar to arrive at Caño Hondo.

Los Haitises is one of the four most important karstic parks in the world, boasting rich fauna and lush flora, including endemic species of the region.

We start the tour by boat through Caño Hondo, a small river that flows through the largest mangrove forest in the Caribbean. You’ll see various mangrove species, a diverse range of crustaceans, and birds.

During the journey, we reach Laguna San Lorenzo, surrounded by lush mangrove forests. This lagoon is a vital reserve for the reproduction of fish, crustaceans, and birds.

We continue to the rocky area, where we visit two (2) caves featuring petroglyphs and carvings on the walls—traces left by the Taíno people who once inhabited the area. These caves are home to bats and other nocturnal bird species. We also visit several mogotes (isolated hills) and atolls scattered along the park's coastline, which are inhabited by dozens of bird species.

After this ecological tour, we head to the Paraíso Caño Hondo Hotel for lunch. This eco-friendly hotel, nestled at the foot of the mountain, benefits from pools filled with pure, crystal-clear water from a river that originates in the park. Here, you can also enjoy a refreshing swim.

After lunch and enjoying the natural surroundings, we take the bus to Montaña Redonda, ascending to its peak in a safari truck. This mountain is uniquely located between two large lagoons (Laguna Limón & Laguna Redonda) and offers spectacular views of Samaná Bay, the peninsula, much of the Eastern Range, and the Atlantic Ocean.

After visiting the mountain, we return to the base, where the bus awaits to take us back to the hotels.
